February is Financial Aid Awareness Month — and with FAFSA completion now a graduation requirement for Oklahoma public-school seniors, counselors play a critical role in getting students across the finish line.

This issue highlights how OCAP and UCanGo2 support families through FAFSA completion, scholarships, and responsible borrowing — including free workshops, online tools, and step-by-step resources. Also featured: OKMM’s reminder that student loans are always a choice (not a requirement), and a new resource at OklahomaMoneyMatters.org where students can complete all 14 of Oklahoma’s required Financial Literacy Standards in one place, with short modules and quizzes built in.
